Fitting new headlight
bulbs
Why blown motorcycle headlight bulbs are
still a thing
LED lighting is fast becoming the norm for many new bikes, but for most
riders, having to change a blown bulb is still a necessity. Because of the
legal and safety implications of riding without a fully functioning lighting
system it is worth making a regular check that all the bulbs on your bike
are working correctly.
Bulbs can blow for many reasons, but usually it is down to age. However,
if you find that a new bulb blows straight away then there could be a
fault in the circuit that must be investigated as soon as possible. The
Haynes e-book on tracing electrical faults can help you in this regard, as
will the Haynes manual for your motorcycle.
