7 Make sure the pad spring and any guides are fitted correctly, then
fit the new pads into the caliper. Retain them with the pins. Opinions
vary regarding the use of copper grease on the edges of pads and the
retaining pins. If you do apply a lubricant, make sure it is only a smear.
8 Fit the caliper back onto the
disc. If your manual specifies to
use a threadlock on the caliper
bolts clean the threads and
apply some. Tighten the bolts to
the correct torque as specified
in your manual. Check that the
brake hose is correctly routed
through its guide.
