5 The pistons will need to be
pushed back into the caliper to
allow room for the new pads,
but this will displace fluid into
reservoir. Remove the reservoir
cover so you can see the level.
Pack tissue paper around the
reservoir to catch any spills and
if the level is already up the max
mark use clean tissue to absorb some of the fluid. Don’t let the level
go down below the lower mark though.
6 Now push the pistons back into
the caliper to allow room for the
new pads. You should be able
to do this using finger pressure,
but if not you can place the old
pads back in loosely and use a
large screwdriver between them
to force the pistons back. There
are also tools specifically for this
job.
