Electrical problems – not so difficult to sort
Electrical problems are a daunting
prospect for many riders, but as
long as they are approached in
a logical way, solving them can
be quite simple, and rewarding,
and does not require a degree
in physics. The basic principle of
any circuit is that it must have a
power source, which is the positive
terminal of the battery, must
be able to carry this power in a
continuous circuit, and must end
by going to earth at the battery
negative terminal.
When troubleshooting any electrical fault start by referring to the
wiring diagram for your bike – you’ll find wiring diagrams in your Haynes
