3 Place the container under the
drain plug, then unscrew the
plug using a socket or ring
spanner and allow the oil to
drain – this will take a few
minutes.
4 Clean the drain plug and its mating surface on the engine or tank, then
fit a new sealing washer and tighten the plug to the torque setting
specified by the manufacturer. If you do not have a torque wrench
then take care not to overtighten the plug as it is easy to strip threads.
